Alabama Public Library Service

The Alabama Public Library Service will use funds under the CARES Act to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus; to expand digital network access, purchase internet accessible devices, and provide technical support services.  They will continue to support the goals of their Five-Year Plan for FY 2018-2022. In Alabama, specific goals address 1) Strengthening the capacity, staff expertise, and board effectiveness of public libraries; 2) Supporting library programs, services, collections, and partnerships; and 3) Providing information access to all populations.
