Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium
Log Number: LG-252402-OLS-22
The Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium (SCELC), in collaboration with the Eastern Academic Scholars’ Trust (EAST), will identify ways to enhance the diversity of institutional participants and collections in their respective shared print programs (SPPs). Through the addition of four new Minority Serving Institution (MSI) program participants, SCELC, EAST, and a newly formed community council will research the impact of MSIs on collection diversity. Project results will extend the existing research on collection diversity and SPPs by identifying and disseminating best practices for expanding SPP participation. SCELC and EAST will work with the community council on dissemination of a best practices white paper and publication of the project’s sampling methodology and collection analysis. This work will serve as a national foundation to develop longer-term projects with additional partners on SPP collection diversity initiatives.
