Log Number: LG-252377-OLS-22
The Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, University of Cincinnati, and the Association of Rural and Small Libraries will strengthen rural libraries’ capacities to facilitate culturally relevant engineering learning in online settings for underserved children and their caregivers. Project activities will include conducting interviews with rural library staff and caregivers, conducting a literature review and creating digital content representing rural engineers’ lived experiences, and co-designing curricula for six online programs. The project team also will test and revise the curricula by implementing it across four rural libraries, evaluate the program and revise the materials, test the materials at four other rural libraries, and develop training materials and hosting online webinars. As a subrecipient the University of Cincinnati will direct the project, design the online engagement and facilitation, conduct research activities, write conference papers and publications, and develop the website for the training materials.
