University of the Virgin Islands (University of the Virgin Islands Libraries)

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Libraries will model a telehealth and communications technology training project with significant potential for supporting national efforts to close technology gaps. In partnership with nine diverse community organizations from across the Territory, covering healthcare, family resources, social support, educational, civic and faith-based groups, the project targets 2,000 adult and youth members for building skills that facilitate telehealth, social support, and information access in response to COVID-19 and for lifelong development. UVI Librarians will train community partners to deliver training to their stakeholders and will provide access to a virtual IT Helpdesk solution for sustaining project benefits.
