Genesee Valley BOCES (School Library System of Genesee Valley BOCES)

The School Library System of the Genesee-Livingston-Steuben-Wyoming Board of Cooperative Educational Services will conduct a series of four virtual forums to address the challenges and opportunities for school librarians in the post-COVID educational landscape. A national advisory board will guide the project development and provide representation in the project for Black, Indigenous, and people of color; geographically diverse individuals; and others. The advisory board will identify final forum topics, such as instructional design for remote librarianship, emerging services for teaching and learning, defining the role of the school librarian, or program considerations for new learning models. Outcomes form the project include reports from each of the forums with actionable recommendations for school librarians across the country, as well as a final report with collective best practices and policy recommendations.
