Yale University (Peabody Museum of Natural History)

The Peabody Museum of Natural History will work with New Haven institutions, including the City Department of Elderly Services, the Housing Authority, Casa Otonal and the Jewish Home for the Aged to produce the Peabody Senior Series, a program to reduce the isolation of seniors and enhance their quality of life. The Peabody Senior Series will feature a mobile lab with museum specimens, museum-based special-interest programs involving hands-on teaching and multimedia presentations, a city-wide celebration of Senior Citizens month, and development of a booklet of museum resources for senior citizen centers. *Awarded under Museum Leadership Initiatives program - now part of National Leadership Grants for Museums
