Discovery Center of the Southern Tier

The Discovery Center, Binghamton City School District and Binghamton University will work together to establish a children's Center for the Arts and Culture, an after-school program for children in kindergarten through second grade from the north-side of Binghamton, an area of at-risk, impoverished, and immigrant families. The Center will offer enriched learning activities for children after school to increase excitement for learning, foster socially responsible behavior and strengthen interpersonal relational skills among the youth. *Awarded under Museum Leadership Initiatives program - now part of National Leadership Grants for Museums
