Boston Children's Museum

The children's Museum with the Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, will plan a multicultural family literacy project to bring their staffs together with parents to create collaborative family literacy programs for the museum and home. Parent teams will help design programs that will promote literacy development among children ages 3 - 7 and that will demonstrate how to use the museum as a learning environment to promote family literacy. *Awarded under Museum Leadership Initiatives program - now part of National Leadership Grants for Museums
