Dubuque Museum of Art

The Dubuque Museum of Art will assemble a team of museum staff, visual arts educators, and engagement experts to develop, test, and deploy a formal process for educational engagement for public-facing programs at the museum. Project staff will train with consultants in visual literacy strategies. The museum will create an in-depth set of strategies leveled for classroom use and facilitation practices for gallery tours at the museum. Museum staff, board, docents, and volunteers will receive educational engagement training. As a result of the project, the museum will create new training materials for onboarding a growing museum staff as well as visual literacy curriculum.
