Log Number: IGSM-255514-OMS-24
The Skid Row History Museum and Archive will create an exhibition and related programming to examine the history and decline of residential hotel housing in Skid Row. Project activities include conducting oral histories and hosting an exhibition, theatrical performance, and public forums. The project will support staff and project performers and speakers. The museum will contract with visual artists and installers to design and realize the exhibition and a book designer for a project publication. The goal of the project is to create greater awareness of the housing crisis and shed light on viable solutions that exist and have been implemented in the past, benefiting Skid Row residents, city leaders, journalists, academics, and the public.
