The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library at San Jose State University will implement a Digital Inclusion Hotspot program. This program will lend high speed Internet hotspots to low-income students from underserved communities. This program will also provide digital literacy instruction to students so that they can successfully use the hotspots to engage in online education and access digital reserves and textbooks from the library. The continued adaption to remote learning due to the COVID-19 virus, means that many underserved students can be positively impacted by the availability of a hotspot in their household environment.
