Jewish Historical Society of Maryland

The Jewish Museum of Maryland will expand its reach in the community by increasing digital services. The museum will hire a communications and content coordinator, a new staff position created to meet the increasing demand for hybrid programming that includes opportunities for both in-person and online engagement. The museum will establish new processes and procedures and train staff to support and sustain a robust online environment. The museum also will redeploy its archive of programmatic content recorded during the pandemic and conduct new digital outreach efforts. The museum will design its programming to eliminate many of the geographical and logistical barriers that limit in-person participation. This initiative will allow the museum to strengthen staff capacities to support digital inclusion and the online services required as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
