Port Townsend Marine Science Center

The Port Townsend Marine Science Center in Washington will acquire technology that will enhance its ability to reach more people, operate more efficiently, and provide a better visitor experience. The museum will update its website, making it easier for users to navigate and for staff to keep up to date. It also plans to update the current point of sale (POS) system in the aquarium and museum gift shop and add a new POS location in downtown Port Townsend, which will improve the visitor experience and create internal efficiencies. The center will purchase equipment to support livestreaming of hybrid programs and will train staff on its use. These needs came out of the pandemic and will allow the museum to continue reaching schoolchildren, adults, families in the midst of social isolation and academic challenges.
