KidZone Museum

The KidZone Museum in Truckee, California, will offer hands-on play exhibits and programs to help children ages 0–5 catch up on developmental milestones they may be lagging behind on as a result of social and learning restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. In partnership with the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, the museum will provide weekly art, science, and literacy activities that help children gain social-emotional, cognitive, fine and sensory motor, and literacy skills. The museum’s community advocate will coordinate monthly museum engagement activities with social service partners serving children with disabilities, English-language learners, and people who have experienced domestic violence and abuse.
