History Center of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff

The History Center of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff, in Lake Forest, Illinois, will expand its public online access by digitizing historical texts, maps, and photograph collections and improving public engagement with historical documents and materials through accessible online search tools. This initiative to increase accessibility is focused on promoting learning opportunities for all, fostering lifelong learning and civic discourse, and expanding the diversity of the center's audiences. The nimbleness of the History Center's digital platform allowed it to produce exhibits online throughout the pandemic, including the global award-winning "300 Photos, 30 Days: A Candid Look at COVID-19.". By continuing to create online content that serves researchers, educators, students, and the general public, the project will respond to a growing appetite for digitally accessible educational materials.
