The Philadelphia Museum of Art will launch a comprehensive audience engagement initiative to bring patrons back to the museum following closures during the pandemic and to help connect young visitors to art. The museum will proceed with a safe and gradual return to in-person Art Kids programs for children and families. This initiative will both rebuild family audiences that had been loyal to the museum prior to the pandemic as well as engage with the Philadelphia community more broadly. The museum will organize weekly art-making programs and playdates for families, create family-friendly gallery resources, distribute art-making kits, and reinstate a large-scale summer program. The museum will conduct community outreach to partners across the city to promote its programming and resources.
