The Humanities Institute at UC Santa Cruz will partner with the Museum of Art and History to create an internship experience for three graduate and three undergraduate students. The project will include training in public programming, curatorial and exhibition development, and mentorship. The fellows will develop an exhibition exploring language science, indigenous Oaxacan languages and the history of Monterey Bay, California. The project funds will support administrative support costs, exhibition design equipment and labor, and a project evaluation. The resulting outcomes include the creation of a public exhibition, learning curricula, public programming, and bilingual material.
